Recap of 2007

Boy am I late.. :)
Anyway, I promised this a few months ago, and I believe it’s time I actually did it. So anyway, on to my (arguably very late) recap of 2007.
So, in no real order, here are the things that made 2007 worth remembering:
- My trip to Moscow back in February - Moscow was freezing, but ultimately beautiful. I absolutely fell in love with that city. I want to visit again, at some point, though hopefully not in February. Sometime warmer is much more preferred.
- My girlfriend got me an awesome Katana for my birthday! I absolutely love it, and play with it when nobody’s looking. I often have fantasies about being a Samurai, and saving the world from an evil overlord. But then I remember that actually, I’m an evil overlord from the future, and just keep quiet. I’ve said too much already.
- The holiday on Zakynthos - Awesome island. Went there with my girlfriend and I loved every bit of it. Great place, lots to see, lots to do. I’d recommend it to anyone that wants to have a great holiday, with great beaches, amazing water and an overall great experience!
- My Graduation Ceremony! My university had it’s tri-yearly graduation ceremony, and I participated. I got to wear a suit for the first time, and overall it was great fun. Great food, great friends (hey Dim!) and an awesome experience equals an awesome time.
However, 2007 brought on some sad events as well. The passing of my grandmother on March 10th 2007 is the one that stuck with me the most. I try to get past such tragedies and move on, but this was the one thing that stuck with me the longest. Miss you gran’.
Overall, 2007 was not that bad.. The good things clearly outweigh the bad, and even after certain insecurities, tragedies and periods of questionable happiness, I believe that it was a good year.
And I promise to write more often.. :)
