A rather interesting celebration.

It turns out that on this very day, January 29th, 1886 (exactly 120 years ago) Karl Benz patented the first commercial automobile - the Tri-Car. The Tri-Car was patented in 1886 (January 29) as DRP-37435: “automobile fueled by gas”. Yeah, it’s not the first car, but it’s the first commercially available vehicle, and thus the birthday (technically) of the consumer car.
We are all very aware of the impact that cars have had on our lives. So, go out, right now, and wish the first car you see a Happy Birthday.
