Exams are..

OVER! Finito, done, ovah, whatever.
Now I just have to finish packing, wash the dishes and tidy up a bit.. and try not to miss the train in roughly 8 hours.

EDIT: Just so you know, The Hoff is hooked on a feeling!

A rather interesting celebration.

It turns out that on this very day, January 29th, 1886 (exactly 120 years ago) Karl Benz patented the first commercial automobile - the Tri-Car. The Tri-Car was patented in 1886 (January 29) as DRP-37435: “automobile fueled by gas”. Yeah, it’s not the first car, but it’s the first commercially available vehicle, and thus the birthday (technically) of the consumer car.

We are all very aware of the impact that cars have had on our lives. So, go out, right now, and wish the first car you see a Happy Birthday.

Just one left!

Posted Saturday, January 28th 2006

Just one exam left! I had my databases exam on tuesday, and although it was quite hard, I’m feeling quite good about how I did. I certainly expected it to be easier, but hey.. it is an MSc-level exam. My software development exam is on monday, and I’m not worried a lot about it. I averaged 80 in the mini-exams we had throughout the semester, and although I have been doing some reading, it’s not as scary as the other two. I hope. :)

It’s almost 5 pm, and I’m enjoying the last bits of sunlight. Those that know me, know that I don’t really like light, but recently I like having some daylight in my room. Not exactly sure why.

Fell asleep on the couch last night - which I haven’t done in quite a while. I woke up around 8 this morning and moved to my bed, and proceeded with sleeping until 10 am or so.

I’ll be going to Macedonia for a few days after my exams are over. Since my exam is on monday evening, I can’t take the evening train, so I’ll probably have to catch the tuesday morning train. On one hand, I really like taking the train, because it is quite relaxing, and the morning trains are usually empty and quiet, so I can either read or just listen to music and stare out the window - there’s quite a lot of interesting things one can see. But I don’t like the fact that the cars are quite old and smell funky quite often. It’s all part of the experience though. :) My MP3 player has certainly made train travel easier.

Looking forward to seeing my friends and family. Ever since I moved away I’ve realised just how important they all are to me.

A few random things I found online that are absolutely kickass:

- The Internet is for Porn.
- Ninjas!
- Jesus will survive. Probably

And last but not least, here’s a link to random_monkey’s place. Just because he’s cool.

Argh..

Looks like keeping the balcony door open yesterday wasn’t such a good thing after all. I woke up at around 4 am this morning with substantial stomach pain. I’ve been running to the toilet every 30 minutes or so.

Great.
