Saturday Morning Update

Just for the record, and to get it out of the way, Weird Al rules. It is a law of nature, and there is no going around it. Just accept it as one of those ultimate truths. Er.. Yeah.

So anyway, it is saturday morning indeed. I just had a shower, and I’m feeling remarkably well. I managed not to over-bake the small pies I had in the oven, like I did yesterday. So breakfast was good.

Good news! I am done with education for the summer. That’s right. I now hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. Rock on. My viva was last friday, and it went well. My supervisor and the 2nd examiner were impressed with my work and although I was quite nervous, everything went nicely. That night I went to a rock bar, had a few beers and was in a celebratory mood.

I’ve done not much ever since. It’s summer, so I get to relax. I’m still in Greece waiting for my residence permit. As much as I do like Greece, Greek bueraucracy is hell. I’ve been waiting for the damn thing for almost 4 months now. They said I should get it by the end of June, so I’m crossing my fingers.

Last week I read Dan Brown’s Angels & Demons, and although it was not as entertaining as The Da Vinci Code, I’d still recommend it to anyone with some free time.

Thinking of doing some travelling this summer. I’ll see what happens.
